What We Believe

The Bible:

  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, the authoritative rule of faith and conduct. It is the foundation of all Christian doctrine and practice.

The Trinity:

  • We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal.

The Deity of Christ:

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, was buried, rose again on the third day, and ascended to heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God the Father.

Salvation:

  • We believe that salvation is a gift of God, available to all through faith in Jesus Christ. It is by grace alone that we are saved, not by works. Through repentance and faith, individuals are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit:

  • We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, subsequent to salvation, as a separate and empowering experience for believers. This baptism is often evidenced by speaking in tongues and is given to equip believers for service, spiritual warfare, and to be witnesses for Christ.

Divine Healing:

  • We believe in divine healing as an integral part of the gospel. Healing is provided for in the atonement and is available to all who believe.

The Church:

  • We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all believers. The Church exists to worship God, equip believers, and reach the lost with the gospel.

The Second Coming of Christ:

  • We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, when He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. We live with the expectation of His return and the establishment of His eternal Kingdom.

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit:

  • We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available and active in the Church today. These include, but are not limited to, prophecy, healing, miracles, and tongues, given for the edification of the Church and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

Water Baptism and Communion:

  • We believe in the ordinance of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as an outward sign of an inward transformation. We also believe in the regular observance of Communion, commemorating the death of Jesus Christ and His promise of eternal life.

The Resurrection of the Dead:

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the saved to everlasting life and the lost to eternal separation from God.
